About
To be honest with you, I have been ready to retire before I “officially” started working. I’d just graduated from college and said to the people around me (the majority of whom were a good bit older than me) that I was ready to retire. Of course, this shocked a few people because I hadn’t really started working yet. (Oh, I’d had jobs in high school and college but of course to that point I wasn’t fully employed or totally on my own yet.)
I was already bummed out by the idea of how long I was “supposed” to work now that I was about to get started. I was only 21 and the realization hit that I was supposed to work for the next 40 years at least?
It was especially worrisome to me that I had NO idea what I really wanted to do. Frankly, I’d gotten a bit burned out of my major (advertising) before I even graduated.
So through the years I’ve been on a quest to figure out how I can make enough money without having to answer to a boss or feel shackled down by the corporate world.
A couple years ago I stumbled into the mysterious and overwhelming world of Internet Marketing. Next thing I knew my head was spinning with new information and terms – article marketing, affiliate marketing, niches, keywords, SEO, Adwords, Adsense (it took me forever to figure out the difference between the two) and the list goes on.
Before I’d gotten into Internet Marketing I was introduced to the concept of the Law of Attraction. (This was even before the movie and book The Secret came out.) The simplest definition I can give for the Law of Attraction is that like attract likes. And how that applies to humans and on the topic of money, is that everything in the universe is energy. Even money. And that energy vibrates. So to attract what you want, you have to vibrate on the same “frequency” as what is wanted. (Don’t worry, I’ll either go into more detail or link you to resources that explain this very clearly.)
Of course, in the last few years I have realized how much Internet Marketing and Law of Attraction can work together. If you have a desire to make money working for yourself doing marketing online (no matter what is your focus of choice), to truly succeed your mindset and beliefs will play a huge role.
So many of the product that you may stumble upon for Internet Marketing will say that it is effortless and you just push a button and you’ll be a millionaire overnight. For the most part, this is a load of BS. On the other hand, you may hear how no one really makes it in Internet Marketing, or it takes too long or everything is a scam, etc.
For the most part, the truth lies somewhere in between. Making money online is possible and can be fairly easy. Well, it sure beats hard labor. And there will need to be work done on your part. But the work doesn’t have to be hard. The hardest part for most is to be ok with making mistakes and to actually take what you’ve learned and put it into action. If you are willing to be consistent and take the actions necessary (and most get much easier in time after the learning curve is done with) you can honestly get to a point where you can do next to nothing and have money come in.
However, if you do not believe you are worthy of this type of success or believe you can only make money through a job – then even if you take all the actions and are consistent, you may never see the success you desire. Why? Your beliefs and feelings dictate your outcome more than your actions do!
My goal for this site is to give you my honest opinions and insights about what I’ve found to be great resources for Internet Marketing as well as the guidance (and resources) you need to get past any blocks you have to success.
I truly believe that if you have the right resources and learn the skills necessary to be a great Internet Marketer and you use your feelings and beliefs to your advantage, success will come to you more quickly and easily than if you rely on action alone. Also there is a lot of great information on both topics (Internet Marketing and the Law of Attraction) but it can be tough to wade through it all and know what is the good stuff and what is the crap. I hope to help you focus in on the good stuff.
